Our Day at the Zoo

Emily being Emily

Updates

I know it has been a long time time since I have blogged.  Sorry Aunt Debi I know I promised you I would be better.  I am going to try and update this more often.

Emily has grown so much.  Why do they have to grow up so fast?  She has been trying to use the potty.  Some days she does really good and other days she doesn't want anything to do with it.  She has gotten to where she will bring me a diaper when she needs to be changed which is a good sign that she understands.

Emily loves to play outside.  We started watching 101 Dalmations last night and she grabbed my hand and pulled me to the door that leads to the back yard.  When we got out there she went straight for the dog kennel.  She loves to play with the dogs and be outside any chance she has.  She disappeared for awhile and I found her in one of the doghouses with the dogs in the other.

We went  camping for the 24th of July weekend and she loved it.  We played in the dirt and swam in the river.  She did really good considering it was her first camping trip.  Our only problem was getting her to sleep at night.

We watched the Steel Days parade at Big D and Toni's house with all the kids and the family.  After we had a barbecue and played in the water out back.  She got so soaked but she had a great time.

Since I lost my job in July I have been home with Emily.  It has been such a blessing to be able to spend time with her.  I missed so much the first year and a half of her life.  As much as I love being home with her I know I need to find a job but there is nothing out there.  It has been really frustrating with James telling me to find a job everyday and me looking but no results yet.

Since I have been home Emily and I have become addicted to the Disney Channel.  I absolutely love Phineas and Ferb.  Emily likes to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Handy Manny.

I went the Vegas with James to help him load up the booth we buy to sell at the State Fair.  I knew it was going to be a lot of work but oh my goodness it took me days to recover from all the sore muscles and activity.  We did have a little bit of fun in between.  We stayed at Circus Circus and played in the Midway and won all kinds of stuffed animals.  We rode the roller coaster in the Adventure Dome and we were impressed at how good it actually was.  The day we had a little extra time we went to the Luxor and saw the Titanic Exhibition.

We took Emily to the Zoo in May or June and she cried on the Merry Go Round.  We had a lot of fun.  She especially liked the wolves (probably because they look like dogs).  There weren't very many animals out.  They were remodeling where the bears were.  We also rode the train and Emily held on really tight to me.

That is all I can think of right now.  I promise to try and update this more often.  I have a difficult time being able to use the computer without Emily wanting to help.
